Our carefully designed retreat is the quintessential outdoor getaway, central to many of the adventures found under Woodhall Spa. Perfect for family fun, girly getaways or romantic staycations, visits to the city of Lincoln (less than 30 minutes drive), and other activities for up to 4 guests!
Located on a lakeside plot in the gorgeous Woodhall Spa Country Park, you’ll have plenty of space for sprawling out and enjoying the fresh countryside air in privacy. Get ready to take in clear night skies under the twinkling lights of breathtaking constellations, from your private back-patio hot tub— whether it’s a cold winter night or a fresh summer evening.
Everything you could need
The The Bay Tree Lodge is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer, and of course, all you need for coffee each morning! Enjoy your meals together around the lake-veiw dining room table, or take it to the back patio for an epic barbecue.
After a leisurely village stroll, decamp to the family room for a movie night. This comfy space includes a 68" flatscreen TV with streaming access and live TV via Youtube TV and WiFi and your very own popcorn machine. Or pour some hot chocolate and snuggle up on the large L-shaped sofa, looking out the windows at the expansive landscape..idyllic in all seasons.
Bedrooms include a master with a king bed and a large guest bedroom with two single beds (for a total of four). With an en suite and larger main bathroom, there is plenty of space for everyone to keep up with daily routines with hairdryers, straighteners, ironing board, iron & full length mirrors.
A short stroll
While the Bay Tree Lodge feels just the right amount of secluded, you’re still only a 10 minute stroll from the very heart of Woodhall Spa. The country park is only half a mile out and is home to many outdoor adventures like fishing, cycling, and running routes. While you’re here, be sure to check out some fantastic walking trails, including The Spa Trail, this route takes you on a stunning 3 mile traffic free journey along the mid section of the old Horncastle to Woodhall Junction Railway and part of the Horncastle canal. The trail forms part of the Viking Way, a long distance route from Hull to Harwich.
If you’re visiting during the summer, the golfing is fantastic, with Woodhall Spa Golf Course (one the best inland courses in Britain) within a stones throw of the lodge. Bay Tree Lodge also has plenty of options for dining, bar-hopping, and quaint coffee shops. You can step back in time and watch a movie at the Kinema in the Woods, this surreal experience takes you back to times of intermissions, organ playing and real ice cream - It really is the quintessential country village and Bay Tree Lodge is the ideal base for exploring the vast beauty of this special place!
